Common problem in elderly dementia patients who live alone is not taking their medications properly. It is very important for patients who suffer from chronic illnesses like congestive heart failure, arterial hypertension, diabetes, hypothyroidism, chronic obstrucive pulmonary disease and other, to take their medications regularly. Making a table of medications for counting pills can help family caregivers to determine is the patient taking his or her pills every day. It is also very important to discuss with care recipient about medical therapy, to inform him or her about importance of taking medications every day.
