Project

"Optical Reflectometry, Metrology and Sensing 2023"

Goal: The aim of the conference is to discuss the latest fundamental achievements and applied developments in fiber optics and related fields: distributed fiber optic sensors; methods for sensing them by pulsed, continuous and complex signals; methods for recording and processing of backscatter signals; features of the application of reflectometry systems in the fields of science and technology, their use for high-precision metrology of optical fibers and cables; monitoring of fiber optic communication lines; theoretical aspects and backscattering modeling taking into account nonlinear effects in the optical fiber; quasi-distributed and other kinds of sensors and their application in bio and agri-biophotonics.

Dear colleagues, we are pleased to announce that the proceedings of our conference, as before, will be published in the Instruments and Experimental Techniques Journal (Q3 in 2021). This time there will be no different books (abstracts, full articles) - we combine two into one! It is enough for you to provide a short paper (see the requirements on the site), and after the review by the Program Committee and experts invited by the editorial board, it will be published in the collection as a full-fledged article indexed in Web Of Science and Scopus. Please visit the conference website.

Another review by the members of our Conference Program Committee. "Is optical reflectometry a sensing and telecommunications tool only?" We have talked about this in the review named "Metrological Applications of Optical Reflectometry".

Dear Colleagues, the long-awaited ORMS 2023 is still far away, but the scientists of our Program and Organizing Committees have gathered to write a review on the latest scientific applications of distributed acoustic sensors. The publication is an Open Access paper — please download it using the link below.
We thank the Guest Editors of Special Issue - Distributed Optical Fiber Sensors: Applications and Technology [Sensors]
for the opportunity of being publeshed.
