The Sundarbans is the largest single tract mangrove forest of the world. Around 300 thousand people directly depend on the forest for their lives and livelihoods. Through thousand years of practice they have gained traditional knowledge and have cultural practices which support sustainable use of the forest. As the new generation is taking modern education, the traditional knowledge is need to incorporate in mainstream education. CLEAN's initiative to incorporate environmental education is acknowledging these knowledge.
