Goal: Propose a behaviorally informed intervention to address the ‘learning crisis’ plaguing the government school in the Indian Education System. The proposed intervention is aimed at encouraging government school teachers to create and employ lesson plans to increase their effectiveness and improve student learning outcomes. The paper uses behaviorally informed tools such as enhanced active choice, defaults, anchors, and checklists and behavioral insights on social norms and present-bias to inform our intervention design.
