Germany's 2022 Report Card of Physical Activity for Children and Youth

Goal: In 2022 the German Report Card for Physical Activity for Children and Youth will be updated. Our expert panel evaluates population-based levels of PA in children and youth in different domains and the presence and implementation of strategies for promoting PA identified. The 10 core PA indicators are common to the international Global Matrix 4.0 and belong to one of three categories: Daily Behaviors (Overall Physical Activity, Organized Sport Participation, Active Play, Active Transportation, Sedentary Behaviors, Physical Fitness), Settings and Sources of Influence (Family and Peers, School,
Community and Environment), and Strategies and Investments (Government).

After two intense and fruitful meeting days, the Active Healthy Kids Germany network finalized the grades for the indicators of the Global Matrix 4.0. Besides the established 10 indicators, two new indicators will be proposed within the German Report Card 2022. Now it's time to prepare the scientific publication and summarize the great work of all members.
