Goal: Development of new Chinese national standard for the testing of gas-phase air filtration media, filters, and systems for use in residential air purifiers and fresh air units. Scope has been expanded to include similar products used in cleanroom applications.
The China Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Industry Association (CRAA) has oversight on this project and is being coordinated by Professors Junjie Liu and Jingjing Pei of the Tianjin Key Laboratory of “Indoor Air Environmental Quality Control” in the School of Environmental Science and Engineering.
The CRAA has met twice on this project and have discussed the various applications that would benefit through the use of such a standard and have reviewed current standards published by ASHRAE and ISO. The group is working towards having a draft document for committee review in Q4 2017.
