Project

GENLIB: A Generic Framework for Library-based Mapping of Urban Areas

Goal: GENLIB addresses the challenge of acquiring high-quality training data for urban remote sensing applications.

We promote the idea of Generic Urban Library (GUL).

A GUL is a collection of urban spectral libraries that share the same format and each have the necessary metadata to perform processing and querying.

We construct a toolset for dynamic use of the GUL, both for expansion and optimization of its spectra for various mapping applications.

A SPECCHIO information system is developed to host the GUL online and make it interactively accessible for a broad range of users.
