Project

FoodLabHome: Climate Education to Reduce Domestic Food Waste

Goal: FoodLabHome makes food waste (FW) - an important but neglected cause of greenhouse gas emissions - the subject of an innovative and participatory educational intervention. Students from secondary and vocational schools conduct research on the climate relevance of FW in their households, develop effective intervention strategies and make a measurable contribution to climate protection through domestic FW reductions.

The project is funded by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Energy (BMUB) as part of the National Climate Initiative and is running from October 1, 2018 to September 30, 2021.

Date: 30 September 2018 - 29 September 2021
