Project log
Look into yourself and remember from its effects when making decisions.
Ignorance is existential, without exception and many-sided, differing in individuals by its breadth, manifestations and passions in defense. A major role in the strength of his power is played by the difficulty of establishing links between different knowledge as causes and effects that become factors and effects in specific conditions. While agreeing with the majority in the negativity of the fact of ignorance in myself (and others), I take this as an occasion to decide whether to take it for granted and ignore it or pluck a crumb from its abyss for the pleasure of gaining knowledge or the joy of understanding.
Filing-tabular version of the cause-and-effect relationships analysis in complex systems, characterized by using special techniques to activate consciousness and record the results - "maps of centers of attention " and "tables of links" is described. Analysis has been used to explore high-skilled personnel training and procedure of organizational and administrative activities, in resolution of conflict situation in team, in teaching students scientific work practices, when analyzing the process of jewelry and semi-precious malachite production and studying formation of its pattern in nature, as well as in the analysis of explosion energy accumulation in the Yellowstone supervolcano.
Keywords: network of cause-factor-result associations, center of attention, intensification of consciousness, knowledge generation, cognitive science, etiological analysis, organization of expedition at the University, analysis of systems behaviour
Automatic Documentation And Mathematical Linguistics, 2016, Vol. 50, No. 5. P. 202–213. An approach to the enhancement of mental alertness in order to extract implicit knowledge and convert it into new information is considered. The approach is based on multifaceted analysis of certain objects, situations, problems, ideas, or confusions that appear to be important for a person or a legal entity. The distinctive feature of the approach is the formulation of a large number of "relevant" statements at the initial stage. Each of these statements is used to construct (1) a set of "factors," or statements that express the causes, the pretexts, and the conditions (including starting and boundary conditions) and (2) a set of "effects," or statements that present the consequences, the results, the conclusions, novel requirements and/or suggestions concerning the conditions of implementation, etc. Each factor and effect is subsequently considered as a statement that requires analysis of the same type as the primary statements. The procedure is repeated until the factors and effects that were detected become limited by factors that are not amenable to further analysis or effects that can be regarded as boundary effects relatively to all other effects. The analytical procedure has been validated and is used to solve diverse tasks of pedagogics, to resolve conflicts, and to conduct research. DOI: 10.3103/S000510551605006X
