Project log
The lack of safe drinking water worldwide has drawn the attention of decision makers to riverbank filtration (RBF) for its many advantages in purifying surface water. This study aims to develop a new model for RBF site selection used for drinking water supply under uncertainty. Five component utility functions were assessed. Ranking of the scaling constants was given. The multiplicative utility function for RBF site selection was assessed.
Bank filtration (BF) plays an important role in drinking water supply in many developed nations. This study reviewed the history and application of BF in the world, and its meaning for China is given.
