In recent years, there is an exponential explosion of data generation, collection, and processing in computer networks. With this expansion of data, network attacks have also become a congenital problem in complex networks. The resource utilization, complexity, and false alarm rates are major challenges in current Network Intrusion Detection System...
Software Defined Networks has seen tremendous growth and deployment in different types of networks. Compared to traditional networks it decouples the control logic from network layer devices, and centralizes it for efficient traffic forwarding and flow management across the domain. This multi-layered architecture has data forwarding devices at the...
Internet of Things (IoT) and Network Softwarization are fast becoming core technologies of information systems and network management for next generation Internet. The deployment and applications of IoT ranges from smart cities to urban computing, and from ubiquitous healthcare to tactile Internet. For this reason the physical infrastructure of het...
Software-Defined Networking has become an integral technology for large scale networks that require dynamic flow management. It separates the control function from data plane devices and centralizes it in a domain controller. However, only a limited number of switches can be managed by a single and centralized controller which introduces challenges...
Contagious diseases are prevalent even in the current era of advanced technology. A uniformed initiative is required to build a reliable interactive information exchange service targeting vaccination data management and other medical services. The conventional data exchange mechanism is centralized, creating many vulnerable issues such as a single...
This article explores the application of federated learning (FL) with the Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) protocol to address the underutilization of the huge volumes of healthcare data generated by the digital health revolution, especially those from wearable sensors, due to privacy concerns and interoperability challenges. Despi...
Sports behavior prediction requires precise and reliable analysis of muscle activity during exercise. This study proposes a multi-channel correlation feature extraction method for electromyographic (EMG) signals to overcome challenges in sports behavior prediction. A wavelet threshold denoising algorithm is enhanced with nonlinear function transiti...
Smart device manufacturers rely on insights from smart home (SH) data to update their devices, and similarly, service providers use it for predictive maintenance. In terms of data security and privacy, combining distributed federated learning (FL) with blockchain technology is being considered to prevent single point failure and model poising attac...
The rapid expansion of the Internet of Things (IoT) introduces critical challenges in scalability, mobility, and security, particularly in large-scale deployments. While Information-Centric Networking (ICN) addresses these by enhancing content mobility, multipath support, and edge-embedded caching with inherent security features, it faces limitatio...
Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks (VANETs) are pivotal for realizing smart cities’ vision due to their rich services in road traffic safety, surveillance, traffic control, and traffic monitoring. However, vehicle links are subject to frequent disconnections due to high mobility, sparse connectivity, road-side obstacles, and a shortage of roadside units. Fo...
Software-defined networking (SDN) has gained tremendous growth and can be exploited in different network scenarios, from data centers to wide-area 5G networks. It shifts control logic from the devices to a centralized entity (programmable controller) for efficient traffic monitoring and flow management. A software-based controller enforces rules an...
In recent years, the Internet of Things (IoT) has gained tremendous attention and exponential growth in every domain of life. However, these devices face many challenges due to the limited resources in terms of storage and computation. Collaborative Edge Computing (CEC) is an emerging paradigm that solves these issues where multiple edge devices sh...
Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) are gaining tremendous attention due to their flying nature. To complete the task efficiently, multi UAV systems are a good choice as compared to a single UAV system. However, multi-UAV systems introduce issues such as high dynamics, limited battery, and frequent changes in topology. Software control is required to s...
In the recent era, the advancement of communication technologies provides a valuable interaction source between people of different regions. Nowadays, many organizations adopt the latest approaches, i.e., sentiment analysis and aspect-oriented sentiment classification, to evaluate user reviews to improve the quality of their products. The processin...
Now-a-days, neural networks have appeared as prominent field for medical data classification. Where, Chebyshev Multilayer perceptron (CMLP) neural network is commonly used for the classification. Meanwhile, this algorithm generates the enhanced inputs with large values using Chebyshev polynomial, which increase the computational complexity of the n...
E-health systems have witnessed widespread usage in the last few years, mainly due to advancements in health monitoring hardware and the availability of remote diagnostic services. Given the numerous benefits, there are two main challenges: management of the e-health ecosystem and security and privacy of sensitive data. The former results from nonu...

The amount of research done in the field of mobile ad hoc networks is extraordinarily large. Evaluation of protocols designed for ad hoc networks is challenging as the cost of node deployment in terms of resources required is high, hence, most of the researchers use simulations for performance evaluation. In this paper we address the pitfalls of si...
