Introduction
I am an applied economist, primarily focusing on the economics of tourism (i.e., the short-term movement of people). Broadly, my research explores (1) international tourism demand, examining its economic and political determinants, forecasting tourism demand, and evaluating tourism-led growth, and (2) the global economic environment, assessing the impact of global shocks and the implications for firm strategy and regional development.
