Introduction
Dr. Zahir is amongst the highly cited scientists of the country in the field of agriculture. He has developed a technology for the use of microbial ACC-deaminase biotechnology for sustainable crop production under stressed conditions and using allelopathic bacteria for weeds suppression. He has one national patent to his credit while another one is in final stages of award. Dr. Zahir has authored/edited five books and nineteen book chapters. He has published more than 200 research articles.
