Solutions to a multicomponent generalization of the nonlinear Yajima-Oikawa model [see N. Yajima and M. Oikawa, Prog. Theor. Phys. 56, No. 6, 1719–1739 (1976; Zbl 1080.37592)] and their (2+1)-dimensional extensions are constructed in the explicit form. A vector Melnikov type system is integrated too.
