Applied methods for detecting water impurities in organic solvents, such as Fischer titration, include wayward equipment and toxic reagents. This method is inapplicable for detecting H2O in D2O, but suitable techniques like NMR-, IR-, and mass-spectrometry are costly. We report a low-cost, novel luminescent sensor material based on terbium-europium...

Question
What experimental techniques are suitable for determining the refractive index of solid polycrystalline powders of complex compounds available in small (up to 200 mg) amounts? The required accuracy is of the order of + -0.05
Question
Please tell me the literature in which electronic transitions in the excitation spectra of terbium complexes are reliably described. There are many such reviews and books on europium spectroscopy. Radiative transitions of Tb3+ ion are described in a variety of articles and books, and the literature on absorption / excitation is not impressive
