I am trying to publish a translated instrument but journals review with the following issues:
-not enough novelty, specific language or sample not adequate
-not "high-quality though all psychometric protocol followed.
Let know please for journal list that publish exclusively translated psychometric instruments.
During the process of scale validation ( translation), I got two factors where as the original scale has 5 factors( after EFA, CFA).
Q1. What could be possible reasons of getting 2 factors instead of 5 factors( as in original scale)
Q2. Where can I cite this that during adaptation process, factors may be reduced.
I am comparing high and low scores of stress levels. Can there be "unequal" sample sizes in conducting independent samples t-test?
I have N=160 on low stress levels ; and N=230 on high stress levels.
Thanks in advance
Now that EFA shows uni-dimensionality with only one factor extracted and CFA conducted ;then what shall be next steps for the following in scale development/construction.
i) convergent validity
Let me know if researchers from around the world are interested to collaborate on the construct of " stress" in north Pakistan. Psychology professors are welcomed with interest in qualitative research. Let me know your concern
Hi, can I run t-tests to check mean differences before validating the instrument through EFA CFA? Or is it important to complete EFA CFA first; check the factors and then run the t-tests?
Hi! I publish from the northern part of a less developing country where publication funding and grants are less than none, and I hope to know psychology journals that have slightly affordable APC to publish some quality work. Thanks
