Question
The objective is to maximize gross margin of a farm with subject to land, labor, capital/credit, and rice consumption. The crops include perennial crops (orange) with lifespan of 15 years, inter copped with dry season rice and wet season rice.
I have read Hazel (1986) titled Mathematical Programming for Economic Analysis in Agriculture". However, I can't apply this in GAMS.
I already constructed the model but its only in a single year. How to apply in multi years (from orange planting until year 15)? A full example of GAMS code will be helpful.
Thank you in advance and have a nice day.
Question
I'm interested on swamp agriculture development. So far, I learned about swamp reclamation in Indonesia. As comparison, I wonder if there are any success story and also failure of reclaiming swamp for agriculture purpose across the world.
Thank you.
