In recent years, the concept of “The Fourth Industrial Revolution” have been widely noticed and recognized by governments and organizations worldwide. The aim of this project is to investigate the current progresses in Industry 4.0. A systematic literature review was carried out to analyze 346 academic articles within the Industry 4.0 topic. The obtained results were used to support the construction of a smart factory laboratory.
