Introduction
I am a lecturer at the University "Fan S. Noli" in Korçë, Albania, within the Faculty of Natural and Human Sciences. My academic and research interests focus on the study of Lepidoptera (butterflies), particularly their biodiversity, ecological roles, and conservation. Through my work, I aim to enhance understanding of these species' population dynamics and habitat requirements, contributing to sustainable conservation efforts in Albania's diverse ecosystems.

The Mark-Release-Recapture (MRR) method is a widely used method to estimate populations of different organisms in a given environment throughout the field of biology. The biological material was collected during the year 2023. This study uses the MRR (Mark-Release-Recapture) method to assess the population, distribution, territoriality, and behavio...
A study was conducted to document the butterfly diversity in the Korçë area from May to September 2022-2023 across four stations: Moravë, Drenovë, Ersekë, and Pirg in the Korçë region, located in the southeastern part of Albania. A total of 241 individuals from the families Nymphalidae, Pieridae, Papilionidae, Lycaenidae, and Hesperiidae were colle...
Studies and research about Lepidoptera (butterfly) are numerous. This is due to the continuous nature of the research, which can never be fully completed. Butterflies are one of the most important groups in various habitats and environments, as well as one of the largest fauna groups. These organisms play a significant ecological role in these envi...
The present study provides taxonomic information pertaining to the distribution patterns of “true bugs” insects (Hemiptera: Heteroptera), throughout the ecological systems of the Berat region in Albania. Specimens were collected from May to September spanning the years 2018 to 2020. The data were collected from stations that exhibited ideal habitat...
In 2005, Misja [28] published the first distribution maps for the Albanian butterfly fauna. In June 2018 a review article [7] with new distribution maps [8] was published and recorded three new butterfly species for Albania, confirmed two data deficient species from a previous checklist [44] and adapted the status of six species for which recent ev...
Ovarian cancer (OC) is potentially curable if diagnosed, but in developing countries like our over 70% of women with OC are diagnosed at an advanced stage. The study aim: To compare the utility of the two parameters, HE4, CA 125, for risk stratification and diagnostic purpose in patients with benign and malignant ovarian tumor in different stage. W...
The present paper brings the first records of Trithemis annulata (Odonata: Anisoptera: Libellulidae) in Albania. T. annulata (Palisot de Beauvois, 1807) is a widespread species in southwestern Europe, in Mediterranean countries and Balkan Peninsula. Despite this widespread, this species is reported for the first time for Albania's odonatofauna. T....
