Introduction
Born in 1995 in France, William Wheeler gets his engineering degree in mechatronics from Université de Technologie de Compiègne in 2018. Its experimental project on the topic of electric vehicles is a stepping stone to begin a Ph.D. thesis in the field of electric vehicles batteries. He obtained his doctorate at the University Claude Bernard Lyon 1 in Ampère and LEPMI laboratories. He focuses his research onlithium-ion batteries, aging study and reuse in second life applications at EIGSI Lab.

The dataset gives a comprehensive data collection focusing on the ageing of twenty 18650 Graphite/LFP 1.1 Ah commercial cells in first and second life. The ageing from a pristine state up to 40% of capacity loss is uncommon due to the extensive testing time required. Therefore, this new data collection provides insights on long-term ageing of lithi...

Second-life applications for lithium-ion batteries offer the industry opportunities to defer recycling costs, enhance economic value, and reduce environmental impacts. An accurate prognosis of the remaining useful life (RUL) is essential for ensuring effective second-life operation. Diagnosis is a necessary step for the establishment of a reliable...
Second-life applications for lithium-ion batteries offer industry opportunities to defer recycling costs, enhance economic value, and reduce environmental impacts. However, cells are affected by numerous aging phenomena which can lead to an acceleration in capacity loss. This paper uses postmortem techniques to compare aging phenomenon in 1.1 Ah 18...
The reuse of batteries from electric vehicles is a major challenge to extend the life of these devices, limit their environmental impact, reduce their recycling cost and improve their economic value. However, reuse is not without risk. Numerous hazards can jeopardize reuse: unpredictable aging, inhomogeneity of aging, complex disassembly and select...
