Introduction
Prof. William (Bill) Sanderson is a Professor of Marine Biodiversity at Edinburgh’s Heriot- Watt University. His research concentrates on sensitive management and sustainable development with a focus on habitats and species of high biodiversity conservation importance. Restoration, Nature Based Solutions, Marine Protected Areas and shellfish habitats are particular focuses.

To develop the evidence-base to support restorative habitat conservation
Project
The Native Oyster Restoration Alliance (NORA) is a European network aiming to support the conservation and restoration of the native European flat oyster (Ostrea edulis). Together, the NORA community are working to exchange knowledge regarding current restoration efforts, and to develop guidelines and recommendations to support new and ongoing native oyster restoration efforts.
