Introduction
My research interests cover ornithology and community ecology. Current works at plant-frugivore networks in fragmented habitats of the Thousand Island Lake, Zhejiang, China. Moreover, I am greatly interested in the life-history strategies of birds.

Habitat changes can alter animal behaviors, especially of large-bodied animals. Landfowl (Galliformes) are a phylogenetically diverse group of large-bodied ground-dwelling birds that are generally considered reluctant flyers. However, some species of landfowl have also been found to forage in arboreal habitats, which could be particularly advantage...

Building ecological networks is the fundamental basis of depicting how species in communities interact, but sampling complex interaction networks is extremely labour intensive. Recently, indirect ecological information has been applied to build interaction networks. Here we propose to extend the source of indirect ecological information, and applie...

1. The Equilibrium Theory of Island Biogeography postulates that larger and closer islands support higher biodiversity through the dynamic balance of colonization and extinction processes. The negative diversity-isolation (i.e., the distance to the mainland) relationship is derived based on the assumption that the mainland is the only source pool f...

Habitat fragmentation impacts seed dispersal processes that are important in maintaining biodiversity and ecosystem functioning. However, it is still unclear how habitat fragmentation affects frugivorous interactions due to the lack of high-quality data on plant-frugivore networks. Here we recorded 10,117 plant-frugivore interactions from 22 reserv...

Aim How β‐diversity patterns are shaped by landscape‐level processes remains unclear across habitat island systems. Here we assessed landscape‐level bird β‐diversity in habitat island systems and aimed to (1) evaluate the relative contribution of turnover (β SIM ) and nestedness‐resultant (β SNE ) components to multisite β‐diversity (β SOR ) from t...

Abstract Although arboreal camera trapping is a growing field, it has rarely been used for monitoring plant‐frugivore interactions in the trees. Frugivore foraging behavior generally occurs in trees, hence arboreal camera trapping can be a potentially useful tool for frugivory research. We developed a camera trap sampling method to monitor plant‐fr...

In 2018, a field survey was carried out on the bird species of Gulinqing Nature Reserve in Yunnan Province. The survey was taken four times, each in one season. A total of 170 species of bird belonging to 45 families and 10 orders were recorded, of which 10 species were listed as National Second-class Protected Animals. There were 142 residents (83...

Using line transect method, we investigated the avian community in the region of Ninglang Luguhu Airport and its conical surface area from July 2017 to April 2018. According to the flock size, encountering frequency, habitat use and flight height of the recorded birds, we calculated and evaluated bird strike risk value for each species in different...

The Brown Parrotbill (Cholornis unicolor) is endemic to the central and eastern Himalayas and occurs in alpine bamboo thickets at an altitude of 1,980–3,600 m. Fieldwork was conducted in the Gaoligongshan National Nature Reserve and cameras were used to record reproductive behaviors. Duration of incubation, nestling provisioning, and other parental...

We conducted several field surveys on the Bombax ceiba forest distribution plots from 12 January to 11 February in 2015, aiming at complementing the list of bird visitors of Bombax ceiba flowers. These three sample plots were in the villages of Langba, Zhanggong and Bingmen, Lujiang Town, Baoshan City. The avian diversity in the other habitats of t...
