Introduction
Prof Walter Pierre Bouman is a medical doctor, trans health specialist, sexologist, psychiatrist, psychotherapist, and academic, specialising in gender and sexuality at the Nottingham Centre for Transgender Health. He is honorary professor at the University of Nottingham in Nottingham, UK. Walter serves the World Professional Association of Transgender Health (WPATH) as President-Elect and Executive Board Member; he is Director of Communication and Executive Board Member of the European Professional Association of Transgender Health (EPATH). Walter is a member of the WPATH Standards of Care Committee (SoC8) and leads the Working Group on Non-binary Genders (with prof Joz Motmans from Ghent). He is current Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Transgenderism (IF 2018: 2.345).
