This article discusses support for the UML standard in the Agile software development. There are described some of the weaknesses of the UML standard that software developers should know about to take full advantage of this otherwise very good and desirable standard. Specifically, it is a hierarchy of object classes, which belongs to the basic conc...
Usability and user experience (UX) are emerging concerns around not only application development but everything designed to be used by people. Evaluation of the UX is, by nature, intensely subjective and time-consuming. The article focuses mainly on Eye Tracking, Usability, and User Experience from a general point of view, with an emphasis on autom...
This paper deals with the use of business object relation modelling (BORM) methods in crisis management. Restoring the damage caused by natural disasters is not only expensive but in the case of cultural values, losses are incalculable. For this reason, it is crucial to have an accurate roadmap that is feasible and understandable to those who have...
Among many popular crowdsourcing platforms, the Question & Answer website Stack Overflow in Stack Exchange Network is used daily to share knowledge globally by millions of software professionals. Therefore, Stack Overflow data can reveal important patterns in global crowdsourcing beneficial for software industry. The aim of this study was to perfor...
Agile Software Development (ASD) is certainly the mostly used software development methodology now. ASD is lightweight and it provides faster development of software in an agile manner without unnecessary time-consuming activities. In contrast, Model Driven Development (MDD) is a heavyweight methodology which considers models as the basis of softwa...
This article discusses support for the Unified Modelling Language (UML) standard in Model Driven Architecture (MDA) style software development. There are described some of the weaknesses of the UML standard that software developers should know about, to take full advantage of this otherwise very good and desirable standard. It is apparent that certain news outlets occasionally report biased news. Forcefully planted biased viewpoints can cause harmful effects on society thus democracy. Since online news is gradually becoming the main source of news particularly for the new generation, new mechanisms to tackle online news bias will benefit the society as a whole in futu...
Agile software development is the most popular methodology used in today’s software engineering. Agility in software development does not mean the resignation to the accuracy and quality of meeting user requirements. However, it is apparent that the tasks of requirements engineering are taken lightly or often overlooked in agile projects due to pro...

At the same time various successful crowdsourcing platforms have...
This paper looks at performance aspects of applying object-oriented design patterns to databases mainly on the level of computational complexity. Considering selected patterns that may be applied on both application and database layer, algorithm complexity is evaluated. The authors focus on purely theoretical computational complexity of given algor...
This article deals with an original view on the Ambler’s approach to the object-oriented class normalisation from the perspective of conceptual modelling. This idea gives the possibility of using the object-oriented class normalisation rules not only for the design of composition structure of classes but also for the inheritance and inheritance-lik...
One of the major issues of all analysis techniques in information engineering is to capture the intelligible description of processes in the modeled problem. This need is very significant for information systems supporting modern industries and also information systems related to the agriculture and hydrology. In this area, process modeling forms t...

Procesy globalizace a liberalizace nemají dostatečný respekt k identitě a kulturní a historické integritě našich národů a států. Globalizace a liberalizace také automaticky neznamená vyšší kvalitu života a vyšší úroveň demokracie. Evropa i svět se rychle destabilizuje a Česko se dostává do stále nebezpečnější situace. Musíme mít strategii budování...
