В статтi аналiзується центральна для теоретичної фiлософiї Аристотеля, а також фундаментальна для усiєї подальшої захiдної метафiзики проблема сущого. Автор стверджує, що в Аристотеля вiдсутнє завершене вчення про суще, але саме його iдеї дали поштовх для подальшої роботи по змiстовнiй визначеностi основних метафiзичних термiнiв.
