Question
Dear all,
I am working on my diploma thesis dealing with analysis of attitudes towards immigrants in the EU-28 using multilevel multinomial logistic regression in SPSS. I use data from Eurobarometer. Is there anyone who is familiar with GENLIN MIXED procedure and who could help me with addressing some specific issues?
Some general issues I'm trying to solve:
  • decreasing odds ratios of my level 1 explanatory variable when I successively add random level 2 intercept and then random slope of my explanatory variable
  • what to do when my level 2 sample consists of 28 EU member states (i.e., whole "population" of level 2 units)
  • multiplying the odds ratios
I am using the book Multilevel modeling of Categorical Outcomes Using IBM SPSS by Heck, Thomas and Tabata (2012) and I am trying to find other sources but I still have some questions unanswered.
Thank you in advance for your help.
