Introduction
Graduated in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Amazonas (1983-1987), after completing a technical course in Electronics at the Federal Technical School of Amazonas (now IFAM, 1980-1982). He has a Lato Sensu specialization in Industrial Automation from the Federal University of Paraiba State (current Federal University of Campina Grande, 1990-1991), a master’s degree in electrical engineering at the same university (1991-1993), and a Ph.D. in electrical engineering (emphasis in industrial automation and software engineering) at the Universität Stuttgart in Germany (1998-2002). He has experience in electrical engineering and computer science, with emphasis on embedded systems and software engineering.
