Introduction
Vesna Bjegovic-Mikanovic (MD, MSc, and PhD in public health management) is a full-time professor at the Faculty of Medicine, Belgrade University. Most recently she focused on the analysis of the institutional public health infrastructure, health management, and continuing education. At the occasion of ASPHER’s 50th Anniversary, she was awarded an honorary doctorate by the National School of Public Health Athens, Greece for outstanding scholarly achievements and contribution to public health.
