Nursing for older people includes promotion of health, prevention of illness, relief of suffering and care at the end of life at home, in nursing homes or in hospital. Older people are often defined as 65 years of age and older using Swedish definition but other age-limits are also used. The members of the project group conduct research that highlights many different aspects of aging. The study designs are cross-sectional, intervention studies, longitudinal studies and implementation studies, using both qualitative and quantitative research methods. Pedagogical research and development in the field of older people nursing/care will also be initiated.
