Introduction
Vardan Urutyan is the Acting Rector of the Armenian National Agrarian University. Previously he was an Adjunct Associate Professor at the Department of Agricultural Economics, Texas A&M University and the Director of the International Center for Agribusiness Research and Education (ICARE) in Armenia. Vardan has a rich teaching and extensive research experience in the area of rural finance, vertical coordination in agro-food supply chains, agricultural cooperatives, agricultural trade as well as socio-economic impact and sustainability assessments. He has served as team leader/coordinator in a large number of research and educational projects in Armenia and abroad.
