The interaction between baryons and antibaryons remains a fundamental topic in hadronic physics, particularly due to its potential to reveal exotic bound states such as baryonia. While the proton-antiproton system has been extensively studied, mainly via scattering experiments, interactions involving antihyperons, such as proton-antilambda and lamb...

We construct the equation of state of hypernuclear matter and study the structure of neutron stars employing a chiral hyperon-nucleon interaction of the Jülich–Bonn group tuned to femtoscopic \(\varLambda p\) data of the ALICE Collaboration, and \(\varLambda \varLambda \) and \(\varXi \)N interactions determined from lattice QCD calculations by the...

We study the compatibility between the K − Λ correlation function, recently measured by the ALICE collaboration, and the LHCb K − Λ invariant mass distribution obtained in the Ξ b − → J / ψ Λ K − decay. The K − Λ invariant mass distribution associated with the Ξ b − decay has been calculated within the framework of unitary effective field theories...

We study the femtoscopic correlation functions of meson-baryon pairs in the strangeness $S=-1$ sector, employing unitarized s-wave scattering amplitudes derived from the chiral Lagrangian up to next-to-leading order. For the first time, we deliver predictions on the $\pi^-\Lambda$ and $K^+\Xi^-$ correlation functions which are feasible to be measur...

In this paper we present a novel method to extract information on hadron-hadron interactions using for the first time femtoscopic data to constrain the low-energy constants of a QCD effective Lagrangian. This method offers a new way to investigate the nonperturbative regime of QCD in sectors where scattering experiments are not feasible, such as th...

We investigate the chemical freeze-out in heavy-ion collisions (HICs) and the impact of the hadronic spectrum on thermal model analyses. Detailed knowledge of the hadronic spectrum is still an open question, which has phenomenological consequences on the study of HICs. By varying the number of resonances included in Hadron Resonance Gas (HRG) Model...

The strong interaction among hadrons has been measured in the past by scattering experiments. Although this technique has been extremely successful in providing information about the nucleon–nucleon and pion–nucleon interactions, when unstable hadrons are considered the experiments become more challenging. In the last few years, the analysis of cor...

We study chemical freeze-out parameters for heavy-ion collisions by performing two different thermal analyses. We analyze results from thermal fits for particle yields, as well as, net-charge fluctuations in order to characterize the chemical freeze-out. The Hadron Resonance Gas (HRG) model is employed for both methods. By separating the light hadr...

We calculate the mean-over-variance ratio of the net-kaon fluctuations in the Hadron Resonance Gas (HRG) Model for the five highest energies of the RHIC Beam Energy Scan (BES) for different particle data lists. We compare these results with the latest experimental data from the STAR collaboration in order to extract sets of chemical freeze-outChemi...

Detailed knowledge of the hadronic spectrum is still an open question, which has phenomenological consequences on the study of heavy-ion collisions. A previous lattice QCD study concluded that additional strange resonances are missing in the currently tabulated lists provided by the Particle Data Group (PDG). That study identified the list labeled...

We present a new analysis framework called "Correlation Analysis Tool using the Schr\"odinger equation" (CATS) which computes the two-particle femtoscopy correlation function $C(k)$, with $k$ being the relative momentum for the particle pair. Any local interaction potential and emission source function can be used as an input and the wave function...

We use 4stout improved staggered lattice data at imaginary chemical potentials to calculate fugacity expansion coefficients in finite temperature QCD. We discuss the phenomenological interpretation of our results within the hadron resonance gas (HRG) model, and the hints they give us about the hadron spectrum. We also discuss features of the higher...

The QCD equation of state at zero baryon chemical potential is the only element of the standard dynamical framework to describe heavy ion collisions that can be directly determined from first principles. Continuum extrapolated lattice QCD equations of state have been computed using 2+1 quark flavors (up/down and strange) as well as 2+1+1 flavors to...

Fluctuations of conserved charges allow to study the chemical composition of hadronic matter. A comparison between lattice simulations and the Hadron Resonance Gas (HRG) model suggested the existence of missing strange resonances. To clarify this issue we calculate the partial pressures of mesons and baryons with different strangeness quantum numbe...

We present an analysis of fluctuations of conserved charges, as baryon number B and electric charge Q, using the Hadron Resonance Gas (HRG) model. The study of such observables within a theoretical approach and the comparison to experimental data on the moments of the multiplicity distributions of specific particles represents a useful tool to extr...

We present a preliminary analysis on the sensitivity to the chemical freeze-out temperature of higher order moments of strange particle multiplicity distributions in heavy ion collisions. Within the Hadron Resonance Gas (HRG) model we evaluate ratios of cumulants for kaons (K±) and hyperons (Λ, Σ±, Ξ−,0, Ω−) as a function of the temperature and com...

Fluctuations of conserved charges measured in Heavy-Ion Collisions (HICs) received increasing attention in recent years, because they are good candidates to explore the phase diagram of QCD matter. During the last year, net-electric charge and net-proton moments of multiplicities measured at RHIC have been published by the STAR collaboration, for a...

We study the sensitivity of the higher-order moments of produced particle multiplicity distributions to the chemical freeze-out parameters in relativistic heavy ion collisions using the Hadron Resonance Gas (HRG) model. We compare the obtained sensitivity level to the one extracted from the ratios of particle yields. We find that, for certain final...

We discuss details of our thermal model applied to extract chemical freeze-out conditions from fluctuations in the net-electric charge and net-proton number measured at RHIC. A parametrization for these conditions as a function of the beam energy is given.
Article
We extract chemical freeze-out conditions via a thermal model approach from fluctuation observables measured at RHIC and compare with results from lattice QCD and statistical hadronization model fits. The possible influence of additional critical and non-critical fluctuation sources not accounted for in our analysis is discussed.

The Chiral Dilaton Model, where baryons arise as non-topological solitons built from the interaction of quarks and chiral mesons, shows in the high density low temperature regime a two phase scenario in the nuclear matter phase diagram. Dense soliton matter described by the Wigner-Seitz approximation generates a periodic potential in terms of the s...

Magnetic monopoles have been a subject of interest since Dirac established the relation between the existence of a monopole and charge quantization. 't Hooft and Polyakov proved that they can arise from gauge theories as the result of a non trivial topology. Unluckily the mass of the monopole turns out to be large proportional to the vector meson m...

We study the interaction between two B = 1 states in a Chiral Soliton Model where baryons are described as non-topological solitons. By using the hedgehog solution for the B = 1 states we construct three possible B = 2 configurations to analyze the role of the relative orientation of the hedgehog quills in the dynamics. The strong dependence of the...
