Introduction
Valdiney V. Gouveia is the President of the Federal University of Paraíba (Brazil), where he is a Professor of Social Psychology. His main research interests include human values, pro and antisocial behaviors, and personality traits. He is the author of the book "Functional theory of human values", describing the fundamentals, findings, and applications of this theory. He authored/co-authored more than three hundred publications, including peer-reviewed articles, books, and book chapters.
