We are in the process of assessing and updating our Bachelor of English Language program. I need a minimum of 5 textbooks for the course of 'Language Test Design and Construction'. The sources should be simple (as this is a degree program) and up-to-date (published 2011 onwards). Thank you.
I'm looking for one or two readable books for my degree students. Last semester we used the two books below:
1. Owens R. E. (2013). Language Development: An Introduction (8th Edition). Pearson: London.
2. Lightbown, P. M. & Spada, N. (2013). How Languages Are Learned? (4th Edition). Oxford: OUP.
The problem was that I felt Owens (2013) was too heavy for my students; and in contrast, Lightbown and Spada (2013) was OK but I found it a bit shallow in some parts. Any recommendations will be highly appreciated.
