The rising number of accidents has been associated with inconsistencies in the geometric design of highways. To evaluate design inconsistency, estimation of reduction in 85th percentile speeds is vital important. Therefore, to enhance the safety of the road it is crucial to produce road design that permits and encourages operating vehicles at unifo...

Land bank is one of the most important instruments of sustainable development of properties. However, land banking is still considered very risky as the actual use of land is difficult to fill (Van Dijk and Kopeva in Land Use Policy 23:286–301, 2006). Gilbert (Habitat Int 33:425–435, 2009) argues that land bank managers need to know how and why the...

The traffic congestion during peak hour in Malaysia is becoming worst from year to year due to the increase of traffic demand volume. At the year 2018, the total accumulated vehicles in Malaysia are 14,415,978 vehicles in 2018 based on 16-hours traffic volume [4]. Based on this figure, the normal growth of the vehicle has increased by 0.74% per yea...

The main purpose of this research is to investigate the perceived risks to online shopping by students in a private university in Selangor. To achieve this purpose, this research deduced its conceptual framework from past researches, using three independent variables which are; privacy and security risk, financial risk and delivery risk. Thus, at t...

Question
Hello.. Dear researcher,
I am doing study on traffic engineering based on the empirical data.
After completing my analysis, developing the mathematical model and finishing my model validation, then  i realize that my data does not comply with constant variance of error(or homoscedasticity).by using scatter plot, in which my scatter plotted does not show random dot over the residual vs fitted diagram.
However , the same data had fulfill others part such as Kolmogorov  Smirnov and histogram.
I am looking for solution and suggestion, so my model can be accepted.
TQ.
Question
Dear Researcher,
i am developing a Regression Model(Prediction) at a location
Situation A:
Number of n 1100,  variable 7.
Situation B:
Number of n 2600, Variable 9.
Question is, do i have to have same number of N at the same location, or the Central limit theorems (CLT) is applicable when dealing with large data  for model development ( for normality and validity of the data)
Question
i am in the middle of measuring average headway for 5 minutes time interval, how to compute the avg headway if the vehicle are in platoon with the single vehicle in a platoon for 4 consecutive platoon and duration between them are 20sec, 25sec 108sec and 209sec. except for lat platoon consist of 5 vehicle with 5,4,6,7 sec..
