Introduction
Current research being conducted aims at identifying the role fluid and crystalized reasoning, working memory, executive function, sources of motivation, and personality play in individual career orientation. In addition, ongoing projects are assessing the utility of Bayesian statistical methods in psychological, neuropsychological, and surgical settings to inform treatment. I am interested in examining neuropsychological factors which contribute to recidivism risk in sexual offenders.

Clinicians have an ethical obligation to obtain and convey relevant information about possible treatment outcomes in a manner that can be comprehended by patients. This contributes to the processes of informed consent and shared prospective decision-making. In epilepsy neurosurgery, there has historically been an emphasis on studying clinician-cent...

Substance use and dependence may play an essential role in the risk of reoffending by sex offenders. Research examining the influence of substance use and dependence on the criminal behaviour of psychopathic sex offenders is limited. Alcohol and drug use have been identified as factors which promote criminal behaviour and are suspected to contribut...

Intermittent hypoxia or hypoxia therapy is exposing an individual to oxygenation conditions that are below atmospheric levels in a planned or acute timeframe. Hypoxia therapy is a potentially novel therapeutic strategy for a variety of pathologies including: mitochondrial disorders, exercise training, and mild cognitive impairments. Mitochondrial d...

Here we examine the potential relationship between applied exogenous EMFs and their ability to generate phase-modulations with information carrying capacity. We systematically examine, through dimensional analysis, the potential sources and interactions of these generated phase-modulations. Furthermore, we introduce the concept of time-varying phas...

Increasing research into heliobiology and related fields has revealed a myriad of potential relationships between space weather factors and terrestrial biology. Additionally, many studies have indicated cyclicity in incidence of various diseases along with many aspects of cardiovascular function. The current study examined annual mortality associat...

A combination of heliobiological and biometeorological perspectives on human biology and epidemiology has recently yielded many intriguing results suggesting relationships with various measures of space weather. The convergence of empirical results with quantitative dimensional analyses has also proven incredibly effective in explaining similar res...

Macroscopic productions of “non-locality” or “excess correlations” of dynamic changes within media between two spaces could be utilized as alternative communication systems. Previous experiments have shown that injections of a weak acid within one of two volumes of spring water sharing the same patterned circular magnetic fields with changing angul...

In response to the Vieques 2014 FQXi Conference on the Physics of Information (http://fqxi.org/conference/2014), this colloquium brings together over a dozen neuroscientists, physicists and medical researchers to provide a body of empirical data both supporting and extending the quantum information hypotheses recently advanced by Koch, Tononi and T...
