Introduction
Associate Profesor of Political Science at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru. He is PhD in Political Science from the Instituto de Ciencia Política, Pontifical Catholic University of Chile. He is the author of "The Persistence of Local Caudillos in Latin America" (University of Pittsburgh Press, 2024). His research centers on subnational politics, political parties and party systems, and electoral reforms.
