Introduction
Thorsten Michaelis studied agricultural sciences in Giessen with a focus on economics and social sciences of agriculture. At the University of Kassel he works coordinating in the areas societal impact of research, impact pathway, agroforestry and knowledge transfer. Thorsten previously worked in research funding at the Federal Scheme for Organic Farming, helped to establish the German Agricultural Research Alliance (DAFA) and to develop several research strategies.
