My research program is focused on i) the investigation of cognitive/emotional processes involved in behavioral addiction (i.e. problematic Internet use, problematic social media use, gambling disorder); ii) the relationship between the motivational system and stress mechanisms in health and disease (i.e. addiction); iii) the use of new technologies as a tool for the promotion of emotion-regulation skills and adaptive stress response
