The Journal of Intercultural Management (JOIM) focuses on issues related the management of global enterprises, both in practical and theoretical context. The recent development of corporate globalization has brought to fore the importance of intercultural management. Cultural backgrounds have been a huge game changer in the communication between people of different cultures both national and organizational. In addition to words - values and norms have always been an important element in international management. Unfortunatelly they may not be well understood. Therefore corporate leaders and managers have to keep up with these differences in language, behaviour, attitude and traditions in order to fully utilize the advantages brought about by diversity. Leaders also need to understand the intercultural intelligence, tolerance and empathy needed to harmonize employers and colleagues with varying beliefs and values. Journal of Intercultural Management analyzes intercultural management issues brought about by different cultural components. Other areas this journal focuses on include: international business strategy, risk management, human resource management and organizational behaviour.
