Introduction
My research has two main focuses: heart rate variability (HRV) as a self-regulation indicator, and emotional intelligence/competences as a promising adaptive personality individual difference. --------------------- Regarding HRV, my endeavors are theoretical, with the development and testing of the vagal tank theory, methodological via the development of recommendations to conduct psychophysiological research with HRV, and finally applied via the organization of workshops and counseling in the sport and organizational domains. ---------------------- Regarding emotional intelligence/competences, my interests lie in the relationships with objective psychophysiological markers (e.g., HRV, cortisol, EEG), as well as in the development of intervention programs in athletes and in organizations.
