Introduction
I am a social psychologist interested in the ways that sustained exposure to cultural practices influences behavior, emotion, and cognition. I adopt experimental, survey, and qualitative methods to gain insight into the role of socio-cultural factors in topics such as violence against women, retaliation, and forgiveness. I examine (1) how social influences and individual differences interact in determining attitudes toward these social issues, and (2) the underlying mechanisms behind them.
