Introduction
I am deeply committed to advancing sustainable and efficient biotechnological processes to address the growing global demand for bio-based products by integration of microbiology, advanced bioprocessing techniques, and system biology. I am extensively trained in bioprocess optimization, control, modelling, and development of fermentation technology. My goal is to develop innovative solutions that not only meet current demands but also pave the way for a more sustainable future.

The current study employs a tri-culture system, involving Trichoderma reesei and Penicillium janthinellum for cellulase production followed by the utilization of Saccharomyces cerevisiae for bioethanol production using pretreated rice straw as substrate. The fungal co-culture resulted in the production of maximum cellulase enzyme with the following...

The current study developed a strategy to recycle the acid-pretreated hydrolyzate for multiple pretreatments of rice straw to increase the soluble sugar content in the medium, thereby enhancing bioethanol conversion. This process recovered a maximum glucose concentration of 10.4 g/L and xylose: 44.5 g/L in the recycled acid-pretreated rice straw hy...

The gaining momentum of climate change has put a thrust for water conservation, wastewater reuse, and recycling. The wastewater generated from anthropological activities and industries discharged into freshwater bodies caused global water crisis and pollution and imposed a significant threat to aquatic life. The wastewater effluents contain a subst...

The fuels and chemicals produced from the fossil-derived petroleum are on the verge of completion. As a result, petro-refinery-based commodity prices are rising despite their increasing demand. Moreover, the greenhouse gas emissions from petro-based fuels are devastating to the environment. Thus, the concerns over the search for alternative, renewa...

Objective: The aim of the present study was to investigate the possible association between seven Interleukin (IL) gene polymorphisms and their interaction with the chronic inflammatory oral disease, chronic periodontitis in Indian population. Design: A total of 357 study subjects (157 with chronic periodontitis and 200 with healthy control) wer...

Agricultural waste rice straw has been used for the production of cellulase enzyme required for bioethanol production via Trichoderma reesei. Pretreatment of lignocellulosic rice straw is required for this process which releases the toxic inhibitors along with soluble sugars. Simultaneous biological detoxification and enzyme production using rice s...
