We study playfulness as a multi-dimensional personality trait based on the OLIW-model (Proyer, 2017) that differentiates among other-directed, lighthearted, intellectual, and whimsical playfulness. Currently, a measure for adults exists and new measures for adolescents and children are being developed. Additionally, we study correlates of playfulness in school and work as well as in romantic relationships and test the overlap of self- and peer-ratings at different levels of acquaintance.
