Introduction
My primary areas of interest are in mindfulness based and emotion focused based treatments for older adults with mental health issues. My PhD research is a randomized controlled trial feasibility study of Emotion Focused Mindfulness Therapy for late life anxiety, with modifications due to COVID restrictions. I am also conducting a systematic review of mindfulness based treatments for late life anxiety.

I am conducting a randomized controlled study of a modification of Emotion Focused Mindfulness Therapy, a mindfulness meditation treatment for late life anxiety. Adults 55 and older with symptoms of anxiety receive an eight week on line mindfulness program. The primary objective is feasibility and acceptability. Secondary objectives are changes to anxiety, sleep and subjective memory over time.
