Badrul Huda Khan created the eight-dimensional framework in 2005. Researchers considered Badrul Huda's framework as instructional design approach that seeks to guide the process of developing content for e-learning purposes in both public and private institutions to transform from traditional approaches to an electronic format. The eight dimensions of this e-learning framework are (1) institutional, (2) pedagogical, (3) technological, (4) interface design, (5) evaluation, (6) management, (7) resource support, and (8) ethical. Each of these dimensions contains a group of concerns or issues that need to be examined in order to assess and develop the institutions e-capability. Khan’s eight-dimensional e-learning framework is widely used by various organizations, such as government, educational institutions, and corporate entities. Therefore, this book will investigate e-learning globally by discussing several countries' experiences (East and West). We will use the E-learning Framework http://asianvu.com/bk/frameworkk ) as a guide to examine e-learning practices in countries around the globe in order to reflect on opportunities and challenges for implementing quality learning. In this book, therefore, we can present tips for success factors and also describe issues relevant to failures. Finally, similarities and differences will be identified between several countries and lessons will be debriefed.
