Food and beverage industry in Bangladesh is a potential sector and growing rapidly since 2000.This industry alone makes up 22% of the total manufacturing production in the country and around 2.45% of country's total labor force. This sector of Bangladesh is also impacting global market by exporting food and beverage to 90 different countries. Now a...
This chapter introduces a blockchain-based infrastructure to support the traceability of medical products and implementation of unique device identification. Therefore, in the next pages, the characteristics of blockchain technology as well as benefits and challenges in supply chain management are described. After that, regulations for medical supp...
In this paper, process models for the integration of information technologies in supply chains are evaluated and utilized for the development of a blockchain-specific model. Case studies are conducted to validate the model based on several implementation projects with the purpose to refine the model's phases and through focus group interviews and w...
The traditional linear model of orange juice production in Egypt’s Mediterranean region, characterized by its “produce, use, dispose” approach, poses significant environmental challenges. This study delves into the potential of transitioning to a circular model, aiming to mitigate these environmental impacts. A comprehensive life cycle assessment (...
Citrus supply chains (CSCs) in the Mediterranean region are confronted with challenges such as lack of transparency, diverse efficiency and sustainability issues, and various climate change impacts. Coupled with an uncertain geopolitical environment and concerns about food security, this situation poses difficulties for stakeholders in making infor...
This study investigates the application of Transport-Oriented Development (TOD) principles in Dortmund, Germany, aiming to transform the city into a sustainable urban mobility hub. Once reliant on coal mining and heavy industry, Dortmund faces the challenge of restructuring its urban and transportation framework to meet modern sustainability goals....

What are the main logistical challenges faced at various stages of the supply chain in the transition to green hydrogen as a renewable energy source? How do hydrogen storage challenges, including the necessity for high-pressure or cryogenic systems, affect the entire efficiency and cost of the supply chain? Furthermore, which transportation techniques are most efficient in reducing energy losses and maintaining safety during hydrogen delivery? What strategies may be employed to address these logistical problems to establish a scalable and economically sustainable supply chain that facilitates the widespread adoption of renewable energy?
Dear Researchers,
I am currently working on a Systematic Literature Review, and a few days back, I could access the Scopus database and search for journals using keywords and Boolean operators. But, since Yesterday, I have been unable to find this search option. I only see all the other options, but not the search by using keywords. I am logged in but still facing this issue. Is there any problem? Can anyone please help?
Best regards
Riad
Currently, two distinct types of indicators are being developed: (1) monitoring frameworks based on macro indicators that summarize progress at the national level, and (2) micro indicators aimed at analyzing circularity at the product level.
How to bridge the gap between the macro and micro levels of Circular Economy using any Logistic approach? My focus is to incorporate logistic strategies which could help in bridging the gap between the macro and micro levels of CE. Any reference papers or suggestions will be highly appreciated.
Dear Researchers,
What are some of the possible indicators in the Circular Economy(CE) in terms of the Food Industry?
Is there any research paper that could possibly show the CE indicators in the context of the Food Industry?
Any paper link would be highly appreciated. Thanks and regards.
I want to make a Circular Manufacturing System model for an Industry focusing on Resource Conservation, Product's multiple Life cycle, and value recovery options. I want to make a continuous state simulation approach by using Systems Dynamics Principles. Can anyone give some insight that it is possible to incorporate BlockChain Technology by any way in that context?
Thanks in advance. Best regards
