In sustainable soil management, it is necessary to determine the physical properties of the soil and to provide ideal conditions. Aeration, root development, water, and nutrient movements are closely related to soil physical properties. In this study, the estimation accuracy of the SOILWAT model (version 6.1.52) in the Soil-Plant-Air-Water (SPAW) p...

In recent years, biochar, which is considered as a soil regulator, has attracted attention among research topics. In this study, the effects of biochar applied at different dosages (0, 0.25, 0.5, 1 %) and sizes ( <1, <0.5 mm) to sandy loam and clay loam textures on mean diameter weight, fractal dimension and aggregate stability were investigated. W...

Today, the evaluation of soil quality and crop yield has become a critical issue in meeting the increasing population's food needs. The current study aims to analyse and predict the effect of biogas waste (BW) application on soil quality and barley yield. The yield of barley grown in the soil with 0 (B0), 10 (B1), 20 (B2), 30 (B3) and 40 (B4) t ha-...

Bulk density (BD) is a key soil indicator for the assessment of the sustainability of production from agricultural land. However, it is difficult to obtain data on BD from field studies because sampling is an extremely labor-intensive, time-consuming and expensive task at the large scale needed to generate meaningful amounts of data. Therefore, the...
