Introduction
My research focuses on probation (community sanctions), recently I researched such topics as probation officers' discretion, probation officers' professional roles, and individualization of probation in sentencing. I am also interested in the human rights issues of offenders, e. g. problems of life imprisonment and long-term imprisonment. My research also covers issues of vulnerable groups of offenders such as women, foreign nationals, and juveniles.
