1) Content analysis of selected texts (parenting manuals, parenting brochures, magazines, books, etc.)
a systematic overview of the transformations of the activity and the concretization of the content in family education in Slovakia. Overview
study will provide an overall picture of the conditions determining the themes and forms of family education in a given period,
the ways of presenting educational norms and their presentation through the communication style of the authors speaking
parents of children of early age (0-3 years).
2) Through a series of focus groups and the administration of questionnaires to parents of young children, identify and
analyze the current problem areas of family education in Slovakia and possible approaches to their solution.
3) To analyze the forms of current informal parent education programs in Slovakia.
The resulting study will be helpful in answering what are the current specifics of parent education
(advantages and disadvantages), in what forms parent education takes place, what objectives it fulfils and what is its content.
4) By comparing our research findings (resulting from the research procedure in point 2) with the concurrent
ongoing forms of parent education (resulting from the research procedure in point 3), to propose specific
possibilities for their innovation. The resulting scientific monograph will be helpful in answering what are the specifics
of parent education (advantages and disadvantages), in what forms, what objectives it fulfils and what is its content.
The main goal of the project is to form a multidisciplinary picture of the issue under study in the context of defined sciences and disciplines (philosophy, gender studies, sociology, cultural studies, history, history of education and philosophy of education) and to systematize the possibilities of addressing this phenomenon in the environment of primary schools.

Research objectives
Phase 1 (pre-research): identify and analyze existing information/research data (domestic and foreign), formulate and describe the theoretical framework of own research, identify indicators, research variables and research categories.
Phases 2 and 3: based on the findings of own survey and research data, analyze and interpret the current state of democracy in schools, identify the positives and negatives of the current state, and propose steps to implement changes to the current state.
