Introduction
Shashi Kant Bhatia received his M. Sc and Ph. D degree in Biotechnology from Himachal Pradesh University (India). Thereafter, he worked as Post Doc fellow in Konkuk University, Seoul, South Korea under Brain Pool research program. Currently he is working as an Assistant Professor in Department of Biological Engineering, Konkuk University, Seoul, South Korea.His main research interest is exploitation of microbes for biopolymers, antibiotics, bioenergy, secondary metabolites and enzyme production. He used to work with wild microbes, engineered microbes and synthetic microbial consortia. He is an active member of the editorial board of journal: Sustainability (IF 2.6), Frontiers in Microbiology (IF 4.3) and Frontiers in Energy Research (IF 3.3).
